Jessica Brown was born in Florence, South Carolina. She graduated from College of Charleston in 1997 with a degree in Communications. She is married to Danny Brown, with three sons, Jack, Sam and Max.
She has served as Executive Director for the Florence Area Literacy Council, Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity and Membership Manager for Florence County Progress. She joined All 4 Autism as the Executive Director in February 2016.
Her oldest son, Jack, was diagnosed with autism in 2007. Jessica hopes to use her years of experience in the nonprofit sector, and her love for the ASD Community, to grow All 4 Autism and services and support for local families. On April 25, 2017, she fulfilled her dream of opening the first Autism Resource Center for the Pee Dee Area. This center will host a variety of support programs, workshops, social opportunities, resources and group therapies, with the main purpose of enriching the lives of those affected by autism.
Amy Pennington is originally from Sumter, South Carolina. She came to Florence to attend Francis Marion University, where she met her husband, JohnVan. They have two sons, Griffin and Gray. In 2009, Griffin was diagnosed with autism.
In the summer of 1998, she wanted to pursue her dream of running a full marathon. She decided to join the Leukemia Society Team and was able to raise money to help Leukemia patients. After the marathon, her love for running continued. In 2013, she turned that love for running into action through Pacing for Pieces, our annual half marathon and 5K race for autism.
She joined All 4 Autism as the Outreach Coordinator, and could not be more thrilled to be able to work in the community helping other family members and caregivers that are affected by ASD.
